The British Council Qatar is located in a stand-alone villa, Zone 38, Street 343, Building 99, Al Saad.

There is one traffic light to cross and it is a 10 minutes’ walk to get to our office from Joaan Metro and bus stations.
Drop off
The nearest drop-off point is in front of the main gate of the building.
There is also a drop-off point inside the premises that can be used by visitors with disabilities. Please contact us before your visit so that we can arrange this.
PARKING
The British Council has a car park.

Our free car park is located in front of the centre.

There is one accessible free parking space in our car park. To use this, you need to display a Blue Badge.
What to expect when you arrive
SECURITY CHECK
Before you enter the building, you will need to go through a security check. This involves you and your bag being checked.
If you have any concerns about the security check, please contact us before your visit.
Main entrance
There is step-free access to the British Council via the main entrance on 99 Al Saad Street. The main door is accessible to wheelchair and pushchair users.

Reception
There are several customer services desks to the right of the main entrance. Our staff will be happy to help if you require any assistance.

For visitors who have a mobility impairment or who use a wheelchair, customer service staff will discuss with you a suitable emergency evacuation plan.

Our staff receive regular training on disability etiquette and are eager to support. Please let us know if you need assistance.
Building overview
The British council in Qatar is on two levels, the ground floor is accessible to visitors using wheelchairs.
The ground floor of the British Council features some wide-level corridors accessible to visitors using wheelchairs. The second floor is only accessible by stairs.

Lift Access
Unfortunately, there is no lift in the British Council Qatar. However, important facilities are all located on the ground floor, and we can arrange meetings or lessons in ground floor rooms. Please contact us before your visit if you wish to ask which floor a specific event will be held on.

There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor. It is accessible to people using wheelchair
