The British Council, world experts in teaching children English, and Aardman, the Academy Award®-winning animation studio have combined their experience, expertise and passion for teaching to create Learning Time with Timmy, an innovative learning experience for children aged 4 to 5 years.
By combining our 75 years of English teaching expertise with world famous film and TV character Timmy and friends, the British Council offers young learners of English a fun and memorable experience structured around purposeful play in a stimulating and safe environment.
Our course and resources for children are designed by experts of teaching English as an additional language who understand the unique ways in which children learn. They take inspiration from the guiding principles of the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage, combine this with their experience of teaching English and create courses that meet the needs of young learners of English.
The whole learning experience is structured around purposeful play in a themed, stimulating and safe environment specially designed for 4 to 5 year olds.
At this age young minds learn language and pronunciation naturally and learning English will set them up well for school and life.
