Qatar UK Research Networking Programme
The British Council, in partnership with Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) and the UK Science and Innovation Network have opened a call for proposals for workshops and travel grants under the newly launched Qatar UK Research Networking Programme.
Building upon the success of QNRF’s Conference and Workshop Support Programme and the British Council’s Researcher Links programme, this programme provides financial support to bring together a UK/Qatar bilateral cohort of early career researchers to take part in workshops to:
- build research capacity in Qatar and the UK
- building links for future collaboration
- enhancing the researchers’ career opportunities.
Key Dates
Deadline for applications: 12PM (GMT + 3) 28 September 2015. Proposals submitted after the deadline will not be considered for funding.
The workshops must ideally take place between 1 January 2016 and 31 March 2016, however projects for delivery between April and June 2016 will also be considered.
WORKSHOP THEMES AND PRIORITY AREAS
Workshops must be aligned to one of Qatar’s National Research Priorities:
- Energy and environment
- Computer Science and ICT
- Health
- Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities
